01Start here: three doors

Most people arrive with one of three problems. Find yours — everything else on this page is detail you can read later.

Door one

I'll do it myself

You're capable and want the structure without the hourly bill. You get the same chart of accounts, close process, and templates I build for clients — as a kit you install yourself.

From $147
Best if you're under ~$500K in revenue, or you like building your own systems.
Door two

Fix it for me, once

Your books exist but they don't work — a default chart of accounts, a backlog, or reports you don't trust. One project, one fee, and you're on solid ground.

From $1,200
Best if you have a bookkeeper but no usable reporting, or you're behind.
Door three

Tell me what's happening

The books are fine. You still can't answer where the money goes, what to price, or what it's worth. This is the full diagnostic and value-creation plan.

From $4,500
Best if you're over ~$500K, growing, or thinking about a sale.

Industry Chart of Accounts Kit$197
A chart of accounts designed for how your industry actually earns money — not the software default.
Included
  • Importable chart of accounts file
  • Account-by-account guide explaining what belongs where and why
  • Mapping instructions for an existing file
Why it matters
Your P&L can only answer questions your account structure was built to answer. Most were built to file a tax return.
Ideal for
Newer businesses, or anyone whose P&L shows revenue as a single line.
Not for you if
Your books are badly behind — cleanup comes first, or you'll import structure onto broken data.
Time
A weekend.
The Studio Books Kit$297
The complete version for boutique fitness and wellness — the vertical with the most accounting traps.
Included
  • Everything in the CoA Kit
  • Journal entry templates for packages, memberships, marketplace payouts, instructor pay
  • Month-end close checklist
  • Revenue tracker with deferred revenue handling
Why it matters
Studios have two problems most software handles wrong: prepaid packages and marketplace commissions. Both distort revenue in ways that cost real money at sale.
Ideal for
Studios, gyms, spas, salons — anyone selling packages or memberships.
Time
A weekend.
Month-End Close System$147
The checklist and workbook that turn provisional numbers into final ones.
Included
  • Nine-step close checklist
  • Reconciliation workbook
  • Close calendar
  • The one-page "is this month actually done?" test
Why it matters
Without a close, your numbers never finalize — and numbers that never finalize never get used for decisions.
Ideal for
Anyone with a bookkeeper but no process. Industry-agnostic.
Weekly Operating Dashboard$147
One page, six numbers, twenty minutes a week.
Included
  • Dashboard template
  • Instruction sheet — exactly which reports to pull and what to enter
  • How to read it, including what a turn in each metric means
Why it matters
Monthly reporting gives you twelve chances a year to correct course. Weekly gives you fifty-two.
Ideal for
Owners who want a standing rhythm rather than a monthly interrogation.
Pricing & Unit Economics Workbook$197
Move from "what competitors charge" to knowing exactly what a price change does.
Included
  • Contribution margin model, per product or service
  • Breakeven calculator
  • Price-change scenario tool
Why it matters
Pricing is the highest-leverage decision you make, and most owners set it once by looking sideways at a competitor.
Ideal for
Anyone who hasn't changed prices in over a year.
Know Your Numbers$397
A short course teaching you to read your own financials with confidence.
Included
  • Reading a P&L and balance sheet
  • Why profit and cash diverge
  • Deferred revenue, margin, and the four numbers that run a business
  • Worksheets for your own figures
Ideal for
Owners who feel behind on the financial side and want to stop nodding along in meetings.
The Complete Owner's Stack$697
All six, bundled. Saves roughly $500 against buying separately.
Ideal for
Anyone who's read this far and recognized more than one problem.

03Door two — Fix it for me

One project, one fee, defined end date. 50% to start, balance on delivery.

Cleanup Diagnostic$500
Before anyone quotes you a cleanup, someone should look at the file. Fully credited if you proceed.
You get
A written assessment of what's actually wrong, what it will take to fix, and a fixed quote to do it.
Why it matters
Any cleanup quoted without seeing the file is a guess — and guesses go one direction.
Time
3–5 business days.
Chart of Accounts Redesign$1,200–$2,000
Your existing books, restructured so the reports answer operating questions.
You get
  • Account structure designed around how you earn
  • Historical data remapped so prior periods stay comparable
  • A walkthrough call, recorded
Ideal for
Businesses already on QuickBooks whose P&L can't answer a question.
Time
1–2 weeks.
QuickBooks Setup & Implementation$1,500–$2,500
From blank file to working financial system.
You get
  • Chart of accounts built for your business
  • Opening balances loaded
  • Bank feeds connected, rules configured
  • Close checklist and handover call
Ideal for
New businesses, or anyone starting over after outgrowing spreadsheets.
Time
2–3 weeks.
Books Cleanup & Catch-Up$1,500–$6,000
Behind, or built wrong. Brought to a clean, closeable trial balance.
You get
  • Every account reconciled
  • Suspense and catch-all accounts cleared and properly categorized
  • A closeable trial balance and a close process going forward
Pricing
Under 6 months behind: $1,500–$2,500. 6–12 months: $2,500–$4,000. Over a year: $4,000–$6,000+.
Start with
The $500 Cleanup Diagnostic, credited against this.

04Door three — Tell me what's happening

Analysis and decision support. This is the work the case study demonstrates.

The Operating Diagnostic$4,500–$8,500
Every data source you have, reconciled into one view — then a prioritized plan for what to do about it.
You get
  • Full analysis of sales, transactions, channel mix, retention, capacity, and margin
  • Written findings — where revenue quality and margin are actually leaking
  • Prioritized initiatives ranked by impact per unit of effort
  • A 90-day sequenced roadmap with owners and measurement
  • A weekly dashboard, built and handed over
Why it matters
Most owners don't have a data problem — they have an assembly problem. The numbers exist across five systems and have never been put on one page.
Ideal for
$500K+ in revenue, more than one revenue channel, and a sense that something isn't working that you can't name.
Not for you if
Your books aren't reconciled. Fix that first — the analysis is only as good as the data underneath.
Pricing
$4,500 single location under $1M. $8,500 multi-location or multi-channel.
Time
5–7 business days.
KPI Dashboard Build$1,200–$2,000
Custom-built to your systems, with a documented weekly routine so it survives handover.
Ideal for
Anyone whose reporting is a monthly look backward rather than a weekly instrument.
Note
$1,200 when added to a diagnostic; $2,000 standalone.
13-Week Cash Flow Model$2,500
A rolling weekly forecast, built with you and handed over.
Why it matters
Nearly every cash crisis is visible weeks ahead. Businesses fail while profitable because nobody was looking somewhere that would have shown it.
Ideal for
Debt service, seasonality, or a growth plan that consumes cash.
Lender / Investor Package$3,000–$4,500
Financial statements, projections, and the narrative a bank or investor actually needs.
Ideal for
An active raise or loan application where a scramble would cost you credibility.

05What it's worth, and getting out

The specialized end. Most people serving businesses this size have never sat on the other side of a diligence process.

Indicative Valuation$2,500–$5,000
What your business is worth, with the methodology behind it.
You get
  • Normalized earnings with documented adjustments
  • Multiple range with comparable analysis where a comp set exists
  • An honest statement of where it doesn't
  • What's moving your multiple up and down
Ideal for
Considering a sale, a partner buyout, or simply wanting to know.
Scope note: this is a calculation engagement — an indicative valuation for planning and decision-making. It is not a certified appraisal and is not suitable for litigation, divorce, estate or gift tax, or ESOP purposes, which require a credentialed appraiser. If you need that, I'll tell you and point you to someone who can.
Exit Readiness Assessment$4,500–$7,500
What a buyer will find, what it will cost you, and what to fix before you sell.
You get
  • Diligence-perspective review of your financials
  • Add-back analysis — what's defensible and what will be rejected
  • Owner-dependence and concentration assessment
  • A prioritized two-year fix list
Why it matters
Buyers price trailing performance. Changes you make today take 18–24 months to appear in the numbers they'll actually value.
Ideal for
Anyone who might sell within five years. Earlier is strictly better.
Sell-Side Financial Prep$5,000–$10,000
Your financials, prepared to survive a buyer's diligence team.
Why it matters
Buy-side diligence typically reprices deals. Preparing beforehand removes the leverage that repricing depends on.
Ideal for
Actively going to market in the next 6–12 months.
Buy-Side Acquisition Support$7,500–$15,000
Independent analysis of a business you're buying, before you overpay for it.
You get
  • Earnings validation from source documents, not the seller's summary
  • Add-back scrutiny — which claims survive and which don't
  • Working capital and concentration analysis
  • A view on whether the asking price is defensible
Why it matters
Most sellers are honest. Their bookkeeping just wasn't built for a sale — it was optimized for taxes. The gap between those two is what you're buying.
Ideal for
Searchers, self-funded buyers, and operators acquiring in their own industry.

06Ongoing support

For when you want someone in the room regularly rather than once.

ServiceWhat it isPrice
Quarterly Business ReviewOne structured session per quarter against a standing dashboard. Where the business is, what changed, what to do next quarter.$1,500
per quarter
Advisory On-CallA block of ten hours, drawn down as you need it. No standing meeting. Expires in 12 months.$3,000
Fractional CFO — EssentialsMonthly close review, KPI reporting, one call. For $500K–$1.5M revenue.$2,000
per month
Fractional CFO — OperatingAdds cash forecasting, pricing and margin work, on-call access. For $1.5M–$5M.$3,500
per month
Fractional CFO — StrategicFull financial leadership for $5M+, or businesses actively preparing to transact.$5,000–$7,500
per month
Most people should start with the Quarterly Business Review. It's four touchpoints a year against a dashboard you already have, and it covers what the great majority of owner-operated businesses actually need. Monthly retainers are for businesses with real complexity — multiple locations, active transactions, or a finance function that needs supervising. I'd rather talk you down to the QBR than sell you a retainer you don't need.

07How I work

Fixed scope, fixed fee

You know the price before we start. No hourly meter, no surprise invoice. If scope changes, we agree a new number in writing first.

You keep the system

Every engagement hands over the model, the dashboard, the checklist — plus documentation for running it. The goal is competence, not dependence.

I'll tell you no

If your books aren't clean, I won't sell you a diagnostic. If you need a certified appraiser, I'll say so. Selling you the wrong thing costs me more than it earns.

Terms

50% to start, balance on delivery. Products are instant download. Retainers are month to month — no annual lock-in.
